Dr Darren Arnold BSc BVMS Director & Veterinary Surgeon
Darren graduated from Murdoch University here in Australia, and has concentrated his entire career on equine medicine and surgery. His predominant interest throughout has been in performance of the Thoroughbred racehorse.
Darren undertook a three year residency at Cambridge University in equine medicine and surgery early in his career before returning to Australia where he has spent the majority the last 12 years as an equine vet in South Australia.
He has also worked in private equine practice in the UK and more recently as head equine surgeon for the Macau Jockey Club.
Darren's interests outside veterinary medicine are thoroughbred racing, in particular following the progress of his own horses in training, and supporting Geelong AFL.
Dr Pratul Patil BVSc & AH MVsc (surgery) MRCVS
Pratul graduated from Bombay Veterinary College in Mumbai in 2000 and later pursued a masters degree in veterinary surgery. He is also a member of Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons in London.
Pratul has worked in India and Malaysia as a vet and club racing official and has been in Australia for 3.5 years.
In this time he has worked for a private practice in the Sunshine Coast and Melbourne before making a move to South Australia.
In his spare times he enjoys photography.
Dr Jade Mather MA VetMB MRCVS
Jade graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2013. Following a year in private practice in Ireland she joined us in October 2014.
Dr Stephanie Chapman BSc (Hons) BVSc MRCVS
Stephanie joined the practice in November 2016.
Originally from France/USA, she grew up riding horses and competing in showjumping primarily.
Graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2015 and practiced as an equine ambulatory vet in the U.K.
She also spent time in Kentucky aiding in research projects centered around the Thoroughbred yearling sales, as well as helping out at sales in Newmarket (UK), Deauville and Chantilly (France). In her spare time, she's enjoying the Aussie culture and exploring the region and beaches with her dog.
Our Support Team
Lizzy Wagenaar BSc (AnSc) Practice Manager
Lizzy is our veterinary and practice manager and is responsible for many of the functions that keep the clinic running smoothly and the vets getting to you on time with the right equipment and medications.
She has a degree in Agricultural Science and Animal Husbandry from Den Bosch University (Netherlands) which she utilizes to fulfill the huge range of her roles and responsibilities.
Lizzy is responsible for: booking appointments, managing the vets' schedules, pharmacy, diagnostic equipment logistics, nursing, yard management and laboratory services.
Lizzy is the first point of contact for many with the clinic and if she can’t help you then she will know who can.
In her spare time she is a keen dressage rider with her current horse Breezy and is a well known member of the SA Equine community.
